Just picked them up on Friday and was very impressed with the condition of both the Colt-Sauer and the Sako......as always, your descriptions and photos are right on the mark and make the judgement calls easy. Phil Garbato, my FFL dealer, is continually impressed with the high quality of the pieces and the extra care in shipping. So again, Scott, high kudos to you and all the staff.

Hi Scott,
I picked up my Argentine Mauser last week and man is that rifle nice! It may even be an unissued rifle, as the magazine was full of cosmoline, which I cleaned out, along with the bolt after taking it apart, and the action cycles like a Swiss watch now. All the screws are perfect, too, which would be a pretty good indicator that it was never used. The bore is absolutely pristine and is mirror bright. I even cleaned up the unblued receiver, buttplate, and other unblued parts and they shine like new. I’m really looking forward to shooting this old beauty, made in 1910. Thanks!

Well now that the dust has settled, I must admit you were right. I never thought the second collection would almost double the first collection. I never realized those pieces would bring in those kinds of bids.

Hi Scott,
I received the Vitkovics cannon and all I can say is “WOW”!!!. Your description was right on and the custom shipping created and the extra effort in packing it ensured that it made the long journey safely to Washington.
I spent last week completely taking it apart and cleaning and it looks fantastic. It isn’t a firearm, it’s a "work of art”. I have spent numerous hours just staring at it and I am just amazed at the amount of effort that must have gone into making it.
I am currently in the process of researching its history and trying to locate 22mm shells. I will keep you posted on the research effort and will send updated pictures.

A little feedback on this outstanding rifle....I picked it up Wednesday (great shipping!). Boy, am I impressed (and so was my dealer)! We both were high on the fine quality of workmanship and overall condition. Then I did a little research online and discovered a very similar rifle on another auction site with some more detail about the gunsmith. Turns out the engraver is an Austrian and did some real quality work in his day. Bottom line, I've made a real steal on this auction and have a gun worth maybe 5X my winning bid! This sort of action just wets my appetite for future auctions. Thanks for putting some fine pieces out there! Your detailed descriptions and pictures are a big help.

Hi Scott
Picked up the Win/SA Garand from my gun dealer yesterday. Great turnaround as my payment probably didn't get there till last Fri or Sat. Packing was excellent - no problems with shipment. The gun was as good or better than described. Stock nicely matched and just enough "dings" to look used. Interior of the gun was excellent - no brass flakes - dirt - dust bunnies etc. Was either professionally cleaned or very well maintained. Overall very tight - bore looks excellent and my .308 bullet test looks good as I don't have a set of gauges to check erosion. Haven't checked it on the range yet but anticipate it will do as well or better than my other Garands. Thanks for the great service - looking forward to the next auction.
