Bidding & Bid Types
For more help and explanation, refer to the FAQ's about bidding. |
To be able to bid in Gunrunner On-Line Auctions, you must be registered
on-line and have an active account.
When you see a firearm or accessory that interests you, click on it to learn more about it. There will be a
full description of the firearm and several photos that can be blown-up by clicking on the image. At this point,
you may send an Email to a friend with a link to the item you are viewing.
Before you place a bid, consider the various ways that you can bid at The Gunrunner On-Line Auctions:
Regular Bid
This is the conventional one-time bid so common to all auctions. After bidding you will receive an Email
confirming your bid and its lot. When you are out-bid, you will receive an Email as well. Realize that
this auction site is not responsible if your SPAM catcher or other safeguard stops the bid confirmation.
This type of bid requires you to constantly monitor the firearm’s highest bidder throughout the auction.
EZ Bid
EZ Bid is very much like a conventional proxy bid bid.
You provide a maximum amount you are willing to pay for a firearm/accessory and the computer will start low and then as other
bids come in for the item, your EZ Bid will raise the bid in minimum increments until it reaches your maximum amount.
The advantage to this kind of bidding is that you do not have to constantly monitor the firearm’s progress and add bids
through the bidding period. The EZ Bid is executed competitively, so you may obtain your firearm at a lower price than your maximum bid.
Example: If you bid $500 on a firearm and it ends at $390, you get the firearm for that price.
The EZ Bid is a very popular and convenient way to bid. |
