U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal. auto military pistol. Serial #577714, mfg. 1918. Very good condition. Excellent bore. Blue/black parkerization is 80% with wear on the grips straps, muzzle, lower frame/triggerguard and edges. Barrel is marked with an "H" at the ejection port area. "Eagle" head with "S12" on left side of frame above magazine release. "United States Property" on right side of frame above serial number. Marked on right slide: "Model of 1911 U.S. Army". 1913 patent date with "Prancing Pony" in the middle of the patent dates and Colt address. Good tight action. Colt monogrammed rubber checkered grips in excellent condition. Two-tone, hand-dipped magazine is excellent. Lanyard loop. Lots of history here! A dandy! C&R OK.
