U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal. auto military pistol. Serial #358118, mfg. 1918. Good condition. Standard issue during World War I. Interesting old war horse that has certainly "been on patrol". Gray with a nice patina starting to form. Excellent shiny bore! Correct "Eagle S15" inspector's mark on left side of frame - vivid. 1913 patent date of left side of frame. Prancing Colt symbol is in the middle of the barrel address and patent dates - correct. Marked "United States Property" on left side of frame. Marked "Model of 1911 U.S. Army" on right side of slide. Good tight action. Walnut checkered "diamond" grips show lots of wear and most certainly are original to the unaltered original World War I piece. All markings are vivid. Correct two-tone "dipped" magazine has lanyard loop on bottom. Lanyard loop on butt as well. If you're looking for an original unmolested Colt .45 auto from perhaps two world wars, HERE IT IS. C&R OK.
