Gewefabrik Sporting Rifle, 8mm (?) bolt action. Serial #6611, mfg. Germany. Very good condition. Excellent bore. Very nice German hunting rifle based on a Mauser action with double-set triggers, 24" slender sporting barrel, left cheekpiece and Gerard scope. Stock is walnut - mostly straight grain with steel buttplate - wood is smooth without marks. Round butt. Checkered. Buttstock is marked "Germany". Floorplate. Quick detachable mounts on scope. Two-leaf folding rear sight. High front ramp sight. Good tight action. Not sure of caliber. Outstanding piece! C&R OK.
