Description
Marlin Model 1881, .32-40 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #21427, mfg. 1888. Antique. Very good condition! Dandy vintage Marlin lever with 70% blue! Excellent shiny bore! Good tight action. Vivid marks. 28" octagon barrel. 1880 patent date on barrel with vivid address and caliber designation. Some patina setting in on the receiver as expected. Stock is a lighter color and appears to have been long ago sanded and varnished. Cresent buttplate looks like it had a nickel coating and that is wearing off. Buckhorn rear sights and post front sight. A beauty! All kinds of original blue on this dandy! Antique.
