Luger, "American Eagle" 1906 DWM, 7.65mm cal. auto pistol. Serial #32144, mfg. Germany. Very good condition. Created exclusively for the American market and less than 10,000 produced in this caliber. Unique Luger with "American Eagle" on the chamber ring and long 4 3/4" slender barrel. Grip safety. Beautifully made, this specimen has 90% blue with some light edge wear, sideplate wear and wear on the grip straps. Matching serial numbers - no numbers on the firing pin or axle pin. Wood checkered grips are matching ("44") to the frame - they show some smoothness and a slight piece missing under the safety as is common. Bright under the safety lever. "DWM" on toggle. Excellent shiny bore. Tight action. Wood bottomed magazine is not numbered and is in very good condition. Straw is 80%. Historically significant and made especially for us here in the USA!
