U.S. Smith-Corona Model 1903A3, .30-06 cal. bolt action military rifle. Serial #4717167, mfg. 1944. Standard GI issue to U.S. troops during World War II. Excellent conditon! Beautiful '03 from the most scarce of the contracts - the typewriter company - and highly desirable. This specimen has a half-pistol grip and nice smooth walnut stock - no cartouches. Barrel is marked "RA" with "Flaming Bomb" symbol and dated "8-44". Bore is excellent and shiny with a ME of .5 which is also excellent. Parkerization is 98% and wonderful. Super nice, super clean! Lots of history here! Take it to Camp Perry and earn some medals! C&R OK.
