Winchester Model 1873, .38-40 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #205322B, mfg. 1886. Good condition. 24" octagon barrel with fair/good bore. Lyman tang sight as well as standard buckhorn rear. Maybe 10% fading blue in protected areas, but this is mainly a very nice smooth patina gun. Wood is in very good condition with no cracks and no big hits. Crescent butt. Works well. Breech block brass has not been polished up and ".38 cal." is vivid. Barrel address is somewhat faint. Includes a leather soft case that the rifle has been kept in since the 1930's. This rifle came from a local gentleman whose father purchased this Winchester in the 1930's. Certainly an above average 1873 - the "Gun That Won The West". Great gun! Antique. We have ten more pictures of this nice Winchester. Email Scott if interested. Scott@thegunrunner.com
