Colt "Pre-Woodsman", .22 long rifle cal. auto pistol. Serial #40832, mfg. 1924. Very nice Colt .22 auto without the "Woodsman" name on the left side of the frame. Bluing is 95% with muzzle wear and marks on top of slide/edge wear. 6 3/4" barrel with excellent bore. Walnut checkered grips are good with some smoothness at the bottom edges. Tight action (takes only standard velocity cartridges). Magazine is correct "hand-dipped" two-tone and marked "Cal. 22 Colt" on bottom. Bottom magazine release. 1918 patent date on barrel. Adjustable rear sights has some light corrosion. Neat little pistol! An American classic. C&R OK.
