U.S. M1A1 "Paratrooper" Carbine, .30 cal. semi-auto military. Serial #292112, mfg. 1943. World War II standard issue for U.S. Paratroopers. One of the most sought after weapons of World War II and this one is a dandy with correct stock and 1944 jump canvas holster. This specimen is in very good condition. Folding stock is marked "R.I." on bottom of pistol grip. Correct leather and rivets. Correct buttplate markings. Parts count: Receiver is Inland, barrel is Inland/General Motors "1-43", trigger group is "Inland", hammer is "I.I.", op rod "P.I.", flat bolt is "24S" and handguard "H.I." Parkerization is 95% and nice. Vivid markings. One 15-rd. magazine. Oiler. Stock has been sanded and has a light appearance. Bayonet lug has some freckle marks on top. Bore is very good. Includes a 1944 marked green canvas jump case with "HAV. STCH. CO." in black ink - very good condition. Lots of good history here. Nice investment piece. C&R OK.
