Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Army, .32 cal. single action revolver. Serial #36494, mfg. 1863. Civil War vintage piece in very good condition - used by famous characters on the frontier like Custer and Will Bill Hickock (he had one in his belt that fated night he met his maker in Deadwood) - also a favorite of Union generals and officers - so quite a bit of history here. 6" octagon barrel with good bore. 40% blue. 1863 patent date on barrel. Spur trigger. Indexes and cocks well. Left grip is cracked full length, right grip is in good condition. Bottom break. Non-fluted cylinder. Barrel address: "Smith & Wesson, Springfield, Mass." Only detraction is on the left side of the frame in two places where it looks like a military unit marking was attempted (see photo). Very nice gun with condition! Antique.
