Colt Combat Commander Series '70 , .45 auto cal. pistol. Serial #70SC72946. Really nice Series '70 1911A1 Commander! Rare satin nickel finish! Very good condition with some minor marks and scuffs on the finish as expected. 4" barrel has nice shiny bore with strong rifling. Correct nickel magazine marked "Colt 45 auto". Colt factory monogrammed checkered wood grips are excellent. Round hammer. Tight action. Fixed combat sights. Couple of little black marks - one on slide and two in rear serrations. An outstanding piece! Scarce and highly desirable! Small and light for carry. Made in the 1970's when Colt was really engineering them well!
