Colt Model 1851 Navy, .36 cal. percussion cap & ball single action revolver. Serial #166958, mfg. 1863. Civil War era. Fair condition. Has been heavily buffed - probably to remove corrosion - done over 25 years ago. Barrel address is readable. Matching serial numbers from barrel to frame to trigger guard to butt and also cylinder. Brass trigger guard and grip straps. Smooth walnut grips are very good. Works well. Bore is fair with some pitting. 6" octagon barrel. No cylinder scene left. No front sight. She's all here and certainly would make a great restoration project! Don't pass thos one up! Antique.
