U.S. Springfield Model 1922-M2, .22 long rifle cal. bolt action military training rifle. Serial #1626A, mfg. 1937. Excellent condition! Beautiful .22 cal. military training rifle based on its bigger brother, the 1903. This one is a dandy with 98% finish and excellent bore. Wood is excellent - smooth and original - see bottom photo - slight crack just forward of front sight - old chip repair at tang. Steel buttplate. 24" barrel with hooded military front sight and Lyman target adjustable rear sight. Barrel date is "5-37". Barrel band with sling swivel. Vivid markings. Includes three (3) magazines which add quite a bit of value as well. Serial number stenciled on bolt matches receiver. Dandy collector piece and highly sought after! Wonderful gun! C&R OK.
