    Produced by United States Cartridge Company of Lowell, Mass. Original. "US 17". Circa 1925. One of the rarest of the vintage shotshell posters - only three known to exist. This specimen is EXCELLENT. 20" by 30". Beautifully rendered marsh hawk attacking two green-wing teal ducks. "Romax", "Climax" and "Ajax" black waterfowl shotshells highlighted at bottom of poster. Top and bottom band. Outstanding piece. Rarest of the rare!

Exceptionally rare double gun promotional poster of two squirrels on a tree branch and fall maple leaves. "The Old Reliable Parker Gun" at top of poster and gun factory address at bottom. Top and bottom band. 19" by 27". Some grease spots on right margin, but not in image area. Some creasing at bottom. A most unusual celebration of America's finest double shotguns. It's rare to find Parker shotgun advertising. Stunning piece!

Nicely rendered colorful winter scene of Indian trapper in French capote and fur hat on snowshoes turning to face an unknown adversary with a top-break H&R revolver. Full pad. Top and bottom bands. Slight tear on right side. 14" by 27". Outstanding in every way with vivid colors.

    The Peters Cartridge Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. "PC 48". Rare 1900 ammunition calendar with December month only. Excellent condition. Vivid colors of cowboy with lever rifle riding up to a fallen antelope in prairie scene. Entitled "Ammunition for our world wide possessions." Hunting scenes of natives hunting birds in Cuba, "Porto Rico", Hawaii and Philippines to show the wide spread use of Peters ammunition. Also pictured is a live pigeon shooting tournament and two soldiers on the range. Very pretty! 14" by 28". Seldom seen edition! Unique - nothing else quite like this one!

Foster - created in 1927 depicting the "Old Man" (he was used in other calendars as well) with his double barrel "crow gun" behind a scarecrow. 16" by 31". Top band. Slight edge loss on right side. Beautiful lithograph. Great piece!

    Hercules Powder Co., New York City, N.Y. "HE 05". Good condition. 1918 "Not On This Trip, Old Pal" company calendar with November and December pads. Depicts World War I solider holding a U.S. Springfield 1903 leaving his beloved bird dog behind just behind he joins the march out of this Midwestern town. 13" by 30". Top band and hanger. Artist is Arthur Fuller - painted in 1917. Calendar promotes not only Hercules rifle and shotgun powders, but their L.F. explosives as well. Some fading and slight yellowing. An old favorite!
    Colt's "The Arm of Law and Order" AKA "Patches" 1925 Firearms Poster

    Colt Patent Fire Arms Manufacturers, Hartford, Conn. "CO-09". Variation #3 firearms poster. Circa 1925. Painted by renown western/adventure artist Frank Schoonover. The all-time western classic Colt firearms poster entitled "Patches" - cowboy Tex with chaps wearing his Colt SAA in a fancy holster astride his paint horse Patches. Prairie scene. Entitled "Colt's The Arm of Law and Order", the poster was intended to highlight Colt firearms law enforcement use. Cowboy model was really a Colorado ranch foreman and not a law man. Factory address at bottom. Very good condition. Both top and bottom bands. Framed. Exciting early piece!

Southern scene with black man in buckboard wagon pointing out to two bird hunters where he last saw a covey. The hunters' pointer and setter dogs are worrying a small cur dog under the mule. A dandy! 14" by 21". Two small tears on right side. Top band and hanger. A real conversation piece. H. Watson, artist. One of the few firearms posters of the era that featured a black person.

Painted by the famous American dog artist/dog show judge Gustav Muss-Arnolt. Very rare calendar with highly detailed fall hunting scene of English Point gun dog backed by an English setter. Bird hunter approaching in background with double barrel shotgun. Under pad is an Harrington & Richardson double barrel hammer gun with "Guns and Revolvers" in big letters. Textured, canvas piece with vivid colors. Absolutely beautiful in all ways!

Quail flush scene with six bobwhites blasting out of a fence line and an English setter on point. Fall hunting scene has shocked wheat and mountain background. Displays all three of the Remington UMC factories and totes their 1915 grand prize for modern firearms and ammunition at the Panama-Pacific Exposition. Classic Remington artwork!

Old bird dog on floor near his master. H&R revolver in leather belt rig on back of chair. 14" by 27". Top and bottom bands with hanger. Has that nice warm feel to it. Marvelous!

Trophy mule deer buck and two does with winter mountain scene. Bold "Stevens" in red letter banner across middle of calendar. Savage 1899 Rifle is highlighted on bottom explaining available calibers (including the now rare .410 barrel that was then included with every rifle) and other features of gun like takedown. Line drawing of two hunters on lower right. 14" by 29". Top band and hanger. A must for any Savage 99 collector!
    "On The Scent" Selby Shells 1910 Ammunition Promotional Poster

    Selby Smelting and Lead Company, San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA. "SB 02". Good condition. Artist was Thomas Blinks and painting comes courtesy of Congress Hotel and Annex, Chicago. Shelby Co. did smelting, made lead shot and manufactured loaded shotshells. Very soft and pretty 1910 painting of three bird dogs on point - one English pointer and two English setters honoring each other during a fall hunt. Brown, earthy colors make it quite unique when compared to other posters of the era. Some stress and tears on edges, some edge erosion and water stains. Both top and bottom bands with hanger. 20" by 25". A great one for any bird hunter's gun room or den! The dogs are detailed and intense. Seldom seen piece.
    "A Finishing Touch" Winchester 1896 Firearms Calendar

    Winchester Repeating Arms & Cartridge Co., New Haven, Conn. "WR 10". By watercolor hunting artist Arthur Burdett Frost. 1896 gun calendar depicting Frost's famous hunting scene "A Finishing Touch" - two hunters face down a bull moose on the final charge. Rare to find any calendar from the 1800's - they were burned in the stove after use or deteriorated. This one has had both bands trimmed off and is fitted with a frame. 15" by 26". December pad. Also a small trapshooting scene with pump gun and two mountain hunters. Vivid, rich colors with no fading. Will really compliment your Winchester firearms collection. The older style typography is very exciting and Frost's artwork is quite detailed.

Large mountain man "Old Trader" with buckskins and a Winchester lever rifle - mountain scene. Also a rendering of a whitetail hunter lining up on a whitetail he had just jumped in the slashings. Line drawings of the popular Winchesters of the day: Models 54, 94, 57 and 90. November and December facing pads. Top band. Light paper loss, tear at right corner and hole at top. Different from the other Winchester posters/calendars with the frontiersman prominent on the top.

Shows a platoon of Marines crossing a muddy river - lead Marine has a U.S. Springfield 1903A3 in his right hand. Lists Marine divisions who fought this campaign with their insignias. 28" by 40". Big and bold: "Enlist Now - U.S. Marine Corps." Has a tear and some erosion on top. Great piece for your bar or gun room!

    Browning Twelvette "Double Auto", 12 ga. automatic shotgun. Serial #6A52034, mfg. 1966. Excellent condition! Looks new! If you're looking for a nice Twelvette, this is it! 98%++ bluing with just a few marks around the loading gate and some light marks on the wood. Black aluminum receiver with gold engraving on receiver and trigger guard - borders around receiver. 28" plain barrel with bright shiny bore. Choked modified. Round knob. Nicely figured wood with Browning hard buttplate. One of the best ones I've snared! Owned by a local gentleman here in NE Ohio who used it only a couple times for pheasants in the 1960's.

Beautiful tiger maple striped stocked product of the former Cleveland Custom Gun Shop. Hand skip-lined checkering. Left cheekpiece. Rosewood forearm tip and pistol grip cap. Engraved scope rings/mounts and floorplate. Recoil pad. 25" sporting barrel has excellent bore. Bausch & Lomb 2.5x-8x variable scope with external mounts. Leather sling. The striping across this wood is exceptional. Breathtaking piece!

    Savage Model 99, .300 Savage cal./.410 ga. lever action rifle/shotgun. Rare two-barrel set in very good condition. Both barrels have excellent shiny bores. Bluing is 95% and nice. Wood has original varnish, but two spots where the varnish is gone on the buttstock. Fitted in a hardwood box. Very nice presentation of a rare gun!

    Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe, .40-82 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #119825, mfg. 1900.  Absolutely gorgeous engraved Deluxe Grade with 95% case color - moose w/pine trees on left panel and scroll engraving on both sides of case-colored receiver.  26" round barrel.  Fancy wood with crescent butt.  Fire-blue loading gate.  Cody research indicates gun left the factory on Oct. 1, 1900 with 26" round barrel in .40-82 cal. with present pin triggers.  Order #74409.  The moose engraving looks exactly like Winchester engraving patterns.  Could have been a gun returned to the factory for upgrade (no documentation on this) or was done several decades ago.  Owner has had this rifle for over 20 years.  Very good bore.  Bluing on barrel and magazine tube is 95% with some light corrosion marks on mag tube.  Tight action.  Drop dead beautiful piece!  We have other photos of this show piece - to view them E-Mail:  scott@thegunrunner.com.

Suhl, Germany.  Excellent condition.  Beautiful 28" gun with Holland & Holland style sidelocks nicely engraved in Arabesque pattern.  Pretty oil-finished dark chocolate colored stock with very nice figure.  LOP has been lengthened to 16" with black spacer and Decelerator pad.  Straight grip.  Bright shiny bores.  Tight lock-up with Greener cross-bolt.  Side clips and receiver ledge.  Double triggers.  Ejectors.  Fine checkering.  Splinter forearm.  3" chambers.  Bluing is 99% and nice.  Only detraction is a few little tarnish marks in the coin-finished receiver.  6.8 lbs.  Dainty and elegant!

Best quality original "Heavy Duck" I've ever had and this one has a solid rib on a 30" barrel. 3" magnum chamber. Marked on barrel: "For Super Speed & Super-X 3 IN." Sharp proof marks on both barrel and receiver - original gun. Stock retains 98% of original varnish. Red Winchester recoil pad. LOP is correct 13 1/2". Edges are very sharp and nice. Only a couple of marks on forearm. This one never made it to the duck blind! Great investment piece. An American classic!

Wears a beautiful silver German Zeiss Conquest 3.5x-10x variable scope with 4-Plex crosshairs on two piece Burris mounts. Only a couple of light marks on the bottom of the forearm for wear. Tough gun for the worse weather. Superb long-range thumper!

Lyman F adjustable rear sight with adjustable aperture. Hooded front sight. Excellent shiny bore - has been shot very little. Checkered wood with left cheekpiece. Sling swivels. Factory engraving features gold two setters and grouse on left side of receiver with scroll engraving and four gold ducks on right side. 14 1/8" LOP over Pac pad. Excellent condition. Has been shot, but is in great condition. A real looker with the gold and the Umberger stock!

Factory engraved receiver has setter on point with elegant scroll engraving on receiver and barrel. Monte Carlo wood is exhibition quality with nice burl and feathering. Excellent condition! LOP is 14 3/4" over Pac pad. 30" vent rib barrel choked full. Fine cut checkering. Bluing is 95% with some slight wear on the left side of the receiver. Mid bead and ivory front bead. You won't find many of these!

Customized by Cherry Corners Gun Shop and engraved my Cortland, Ohio master engraver Floyd Warren in the 1950's when he was at the zenith of his career. Receiver on left side has mountain scene with birds and right side has rolling hills with woodchuck. Gold borders around receiver and triggerguard. 24" round barrel with excellent shiny bore. Wood is beautiful with great burl and feathering. Fine line checkering. Left cheekpiece. Unertl 6x 18" vintage scope with external mounts. Sling swivel on barrel. Steel buttplate is checkered. Former owner's gold initials on tang. Nice bright blue, wonderful engraving - it's gorgeous and dainty!
    Remington 1858 New Army, .44, Engraved by Floyd Warren

    Remington Model 1858 New Army, .44 cal. percussion cap & ball revolver. Serial #36915, mfg. 1862. Reconditioned to excellent condition - reblued and engraved by Cortland, Ohio master engraver Floyd Warren in the 1950's when he was in the zenith of his career. 8" octagon barrel, frame and cylinder are engraved with floral pattern and gold wire. Gold/engraved trigger guard. Walnut grips show inspector mark. Bore has some light pitting. Vivid barrel address with 1858 patent date. Former owner's name on butt in gold. Vintage wood presentation box with compartments containing engraved bullet mold, powder flash, vintage cap box, Remington oil can, nipple wrench, cleaning rod and key. Quite a nice package!
    Winchester 1894, .30 WCF, takedown, engraved, mfg. 1896

    Winchester Model 1894, .30 WCF cal. lever action rifle. Serial #46650, mfg. 1896. Antique. Reconditioned to excellent condition. 99% blue. Takedown. 26" nickel steel octagon barrel. A call to Cody indicated that this rifle left the factory as a 26" takedown, but was not engraved. No records as to return to factory for engraving. Engraving is very much like Winchester factory engraving with running and standing deer on circular panels on either side of receiver. Scrolling on entire receiver plates. No evidence of a scope having been mounted. Four or five nicks on buttstock. Flip-up rear sight and hooded front sight. Appears to have been shot very little. Clean and nice! Great caliber for big moose or brownies - also the African standard caliber for decades. A dandy!

Beautiful satin finish stock with recoil pad. Bluing is 100%. Long extractor. Carl Zeiss Conquest 3x-9x40mm with Leupold rings and two-piece mounts - great glass. Factory box, manual and one box of cartridges. This beauty will make a wonderful white, mulie or antelope rifle. These are very accurate and high quality.

    Browning Double-Auto Twelvette, 12 ga. auto shotgun. Serial #A18337, mfg. 1960 in Belgium. Scarce "Autumn Brown" colored receiver. Very good condition. 26" plain barrel choked modified. Bright shiny bore. Bluing is 98% on barrel with one freckle mark. Engraved receiver has a couple of hunting marks and some wear where the shell is inserted in the left side. Wood is dark chocolate in color with exceptional waves and figure. Recoil pad. LOP is 14 1/2" over pad. There are seven colors on these autos - they're fun to collect!
